Flocculator (Jar Testing Appratus)

Flocculation is a process in which colloids come out of suspension in the form of floc or flake, either spontaneously or due to the addition of a clarifying agent.
Flocculator apparatuses are used for testing water soluble polymers used with conventional waste water treatment processes such as coagulation, flocculation, and sedimentation in water, at waste water treatment plants, industries and Laboratories.

CONSTRUCTION

Flocculator has been specially designed for use in water treatment plants to correctly estimate the dosing of alum and such other coagulants for treatment of water and sewage. In provides identical test conditions for all samples. A digital display clearly indicates the speed of the rotational stainless steel paddles, which can be varied from 10 to 220 RPM with accuracy of +/- 1 RPM.. Illuminated base consists of fluorescent tube mounted below translucent plastic plate to provide diffused cold light through floc sample. S.S. stirring rods are provided with adjustable spacer so to adjust the depth of stirring paddles. The stirring shaft can be removed without disturbing other stirrers. This unit is supplied without beakers to work on 220/230 volts A.C.
